Fort Walton Beach has lots to offer to those who live here! Even more than it’s powdery white beaches, emerald waters, enjoyable golf courses, year round fishing, Eglin Military air force base, shopping, wonderful restaurants, a happening downtown all minus the fuss – just laid back fun. It is a southern city in Okalossa County, it experiences hot and humid summers, generally from late May to mid-September, the autumns, from mid-September to early December, is generally warm, winters are very short and mild, from mid-December to late February.
The nearby airport is called the Destin-Fort Walton Beach airport (airport code VPS) serves Fort Walton Beach and surrounding areas including Destin.

they were referring to an area in Miramar Beach, now they typically referring to the Resort of Sandestin. Neither Sandestin Resort or Miramar Beach are incorporated into a city, both are located just east of Destin in South Walton County with same beautiful white sandy beaches and emerald green water that is along the Emerald Coast of Florida. The school system is under the Walton County system with most zoned for Butler Elementary, Emerald Coast Middle School and South Walton High School

30A / Santa Rosa Beach
Wow and the fun continues In Santa Rosa Beach. A little confused on the names 30A is often referred to as Santa Rosa Beach but actually contains many small beach areas like Dune Allen, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Seaside, Seacrest, Ays Beach and Rosemary Beach all which are between the west end and east end of 30A. Choose to buy a property in South Walton County as an investment, second home or primary residence and you are in for a treat! The 30A life is large with plenty to keep you busy or just relax, it is all up to you. Learn to water ski at Cory Pickos Water Ski School or camp at Grayton Beach State Park
